Background
Matt Evans is originally from Baltimore, Maryland and he attended college and law school in Birmingham, Alabama. He practiced law in Birmingham for five years after graduation, focusing primarily on cases involving bodily injury and wrongful death, which included his participation in a number of jury trials. He had an interest in moving to Tampa and successfully passed the Florida bar exam, after which he was admitted to practice in Florida. His practice in Florida has focused primarily on defending individuals and insurance companies involved in automobile accidents, products defect cases and bad faith liability. In addition, he has spent a significant time advising property management companies about risk management, as well as achieved a number of favorable outcomes in premises liability cases.
In his free time, Matt enjoys golf, baseball, politics and Florida Gator football.
